I am finally starting to fell better, I still have a few really nauseas spells through out my day. And I am able to eat meat, had to go almost vegan for a few weeks. But I am now having Migraines! This is not fun and not being able to take any of the things that I know will help.

Re: Feeling better and eating better
Sun, September 13, 2009 - 8:32 AMusually, but not always, migraines get BETTER during pregnancy. I had one real whopper migraine at about 4 weeks pregnant, then nothng the rest of the time.
you might have to identify food and environmental triggers and get really strict about not being in places, or around people, that expose you to them. diesel exhaust, cigarette smoke, scented laundry and cleaning products, pesticides, and paint are big ones, and not always easy to avoid especially if you have to work around a lot of people or use public transportation or public restrooms.
the food thing is very individual; for me, I've learned that avoiding vinegar, smoked, pickled, and barbecued foods, and any non-fermented milk made a huge difference ifor the better with regard to both the frequency and the severity of my migraines. -

Re: Feeling better and eating better
Sun, September 13, 2009 - 10:24 PMI think that it was meat that has nitrates in it. The first one was kielbasa sausage (Kosher, but still hillshire farms) and the second BAD one was from a processed ham (eevn though it was from Trader Joes) So I am going to give that a try and see what happends

Re: Feeling better and eating better
Tue, October 20, 2009 - 12:08 PMcheck if you are drinking enough water. Migraines and nauseas sometimes means dehydration during pregnancy.
